ABOUT THE JOB
Gunzilla Games is looking to recruit a talented Senior Biome Level Artist to create immersive realistic biomes through vegetation assets for our game OTG (Off The Grid), an all-new AAA Extraction Battle Royale shooter, currently available as Early Access on PlayStation®5, Xbox® Series X|S, and PC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Senior Biome Level Artist, you will:
- Participating in the creation of ideas and plans for natural areas.
- Finishing locations with existing meshes and decals. Polishing and improving the landscape shape and shader painting.
- Translate internally defined biome rules into a compositionally biome design and visual identity
- Work actively with designers and concept, Environment & Technical artists to work collaboratively to create outstanding environments that fit the game's style and realism
- Helping scope work for on-time milestone delivery
- Share knowledge of project tools and their functions
- Participate in R&D of new techniques to implement into the production pipeline
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 4 years of experience as a Level or Biome artist in video game industry.
- Have worked as a Biome or Level artist artist on at least 1 Shipped AAA title
- Experience with Biome Generation tools, rulesets and ability to shape natural feeling & Diverse environments
- Creative & artistic eye for Biome composition especially lighting/shading & Materials
- A proactive, can-do attitude, with an eagerness to learn new software tools and technologies
- Ability to work in a team setting, under deadlines and time constraints
- Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction and motivation
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
PLUSES
- Experience in Landscape shader.
- Experience in technical art related to Biome art.
- Experience in creating natural assets such as Vegetation and Geology.
