Founded in 2020, Gunzilla Games is the independent AAA video game developer and publisher behind the free-to-play mobile game TECHNOCORE, the gamer-first blockchain GUNZ, and the upcoming next-gen battle royale Off The Grid, in three metropolitan locations: Frankfurt, Germany (HQ); Kyiv, Ukraine; and London, UK. ABOUT THE JOB
Gunzilla Games is looking for a highly skilled and imaginative Environment Artist to join our Cinematic team working on our game OTG (Off The Grid) an all-new AAA Extraction Battle Royale shooter, currently available as Early Access on PlayStation®5, Xbox® Series X|S, and PC.
You will help us to create amazing art and bring your soul to our brand new shiny world.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exhibit excellent composition and spatial awareness.
- Utilize your modeling and texturing expertise.
- Creatively model and interpret unfinished concepts to develop three-dimensional assets that align with the design goals.
- Produce high-quality, detailed textures for various surfaces.
- Excel in both hard surface and organic modeling techniques.
- Create shaders for environment assets, volumetrics, decals, ambient effects, etc.
- Apply complex shader knowledge to enhance the quality of assets.
- Optimize assets by using diagnostic tools to identify areas for improvement.
- Know when and where to make cuts and optimize meshes and materials without sacrificing visual quality.
- Work within the style guidelines set by the project, Art Director, and Art Lead.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as 3DS Max, Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush, Substance, and more.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
- Exceptional texturing skills and experience with PBR & materials.
- Capability to take 2D concept art through to completion in a 3D environment.
- Ability to create functional, articulated mechanical models and rig them.
- Experience providing feedback to outsourcing teams.
